GES have announced two significant appointments this month, with Tiffany Pritchard joining the firm from Clarion Events, and Tom Hands, who arrives from CEVA Showfreight.
Tiffany is joining GES’s data services division as operations director, having previously worked in a finance role with the NEC and subsequently as a portfolio director with Clarion Events. Initially Tiffany will work alongside Joy Ray, who after many years dedicated service to GES, will be retiring in summer 2013.
Executive chairman EMEA Nick Marshall said, “Debbie Lee and Tiffany will be jointly responsible for driving data services forward and, I believe that together, they will form a very strong team to deliver future success to GES. Debbie will focus on key account development and new business generation across EMEA, which is in line with our intention to deliver GES services across EMEA. Tiffany will report to Andy Gibb, managing director UK, and will be responsible for operations within data services and supporting Debbie wherever necessary. I would like to wish Tiffany and Debbie every success.”
Tom Hands has joined GES in his new role as account manager working from the logistics hub at the NEC, Birmingham. He will be working face to face with major clients, both organisers and venues, and will also be liaising and coordinating freight companies to move customer material and assets across Europe. This central location is ideal for the job of coordinating the complex logistics involved in organising events and equipping venues.
Phil Powell, head of logistics EMEA welcomed Tom to GES saying, “Tom’s industry knowledge is very well rounded, and his extensive professional network will be a real asset to the team and the company.”
