The NEC is delighted to announce its headline sponsorship of the 2013 Event Industry Charity Golf Day, “In the Rough”.
The annual event, organised by ESSA (Event Supplier and Services Association) and supported by the AEO (Association of Event Organisers), AEV (Association of Event Venues) and industry promotional body FaceTime, takes place on Tuesday 23 July at the highly acclaimed Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club.
The concept is based on the highly successful BECA and ESSA golf days and brings together organisers, venues and service suppliers in a day of fun, entertainment and networking.
“This is a brilliant concept and a great opportunity to support the AEV and the industry as a whole,” said NEC Venue Sales Director Steve Richards.
“Last year’s event raised over £4000 for its charities and now as main sponsors, we want to play our part in helping the event grow, while using the opportunity to bring together our clients and prospective clients, alongside other organisers and contractors.”
Luke Facey, Chair of the ESSA StandBuilder’s Forum and Managing Director of Alpha Display & Design Ltd said: “We are delighted to have the NEC supporting the event industry golf day this year. In the Rough has truly become a cross industry event, attended and supported by organisers, venues and suppliers alike. The best thing about the event is that it is the whole of the events industry supporting two, extremely worthwhile, charitable causes in Great Ormond Street and Events for Namuwongo.”
