Mark Searle
Pacific World, the global MICE player, has appointed Mark Searle as its UK based sales manager focusing primarily on the development of business to its EMEA destinations. Mark takes up his position on 29th April 2013 and reports to Maria del Campo, Head of Sales in EMEA.
Shaun Casey, EMEA Regional Director comments, “We carried out an extensive candidate search in the UK market and are delighted that Mark is joining our team. The combination of his MICE agency background and the knowledge he has gained of the DMC offering in EMEA will strengthen our presence in the UK market. The timing of this appointment is significant given the arrival of a number of new senior management staff at Pacific World, including Hannelore Carzon in Barcelona, who are already well known in the UK marketplace for their DMC expertise. Now it is a question of connecting the dots!”
Casey continues, “This does mean, regrettably, that we will be ending our partnership with GMC at the end of July. Susan Scales has been a truly professional partner and an important ambassador of PW Spain, but as we have opened offices in other destinations, it became clear very quickly that GMC would not be able to represent us in all of them because of their existing portfolio.”
MM & Co will continue to represent PW Asia in the UK market.
