Unispace UniSpace Sunderland partners with Stadium of Light to offer hospitality for big summer concerts for second year Exhibition NewsUniSpace Sunderland, the conferencing and events arm of The University of Sunderland, today announces that it will once again partner with the Stadium of Light to offer car parking and accommodation facilities for three large summer concerts.

Taking place in June, concert goers are expected to flock to Sunderland to see the likes of rock giants Bon Jovi (June 13th), pop superstar Rihanna (June 20th) and the North East Live concert featuring, among others, JLS, The Wanted and Little Mix (June 22nd). To ensure a hassle-free experience, visitors will be able to make use of the 1,200 spaces available at UniSpace’s City Campus, just a few minutes’ walk from the venue. For those attending that require accommodation, UniSpace Sunderland has also made university accommodation available for concert evenings.

In 2012, UniSpace provided hospitality for a number of concerts that took place at the Stadium of Light, including The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Coldplay and Bruce Springsteen.

Sharon Olver, Commercial Services Manager at UniSpace Sunderland, commented: “We are delighted once again to be able to support the Stadium of Light through our facilities on campus. We hope that we can help to make the day as stress free as possible for visitors and look forward to welcoming them to the City Campus.”

UniSpace is working with The Rotary Club of Sunderland, with all parking income being donated towards local charities and the University’s ‘Futures Fund’, a part-endowed scholarship fund that supports excellence and opportunity for those studying at the University.
