The national venue has secured high profile events including The Big Bang, Creative Clyde and the O2 Guru Forum.

The wins come off the back of the SECC’s support for Creative Scotland and the high profile launch of its new ‘creative’ branding. The Big Bang comes to Glasgow for the first time, whilst O2 return to the SECC with their own staff educational conference. Meanwhile Creative Clyde, consisting of a showcase of creativity from within the city, underlines the affinity the SECC has with creative conferences and events.

“These are great pieces of business for the SECC and a fine endorsement of the venue for hosting major creative brands from within the city and further afield,” comments Ben Goedegebuure, Sales Director, SECC. “2013 is already looking like a standout year for conferences in Glasgow; we’re adding even more high profile corporate wins to our excellent association business.”

The SECC recently unveiled its own brand identity, celebrating the creative excellence that can be found in the city of Glasgow and a fresh and contemporary new look for the brand. “The Year of Creative Scotland reminded the market how creative our industry can be and how well we host this kind of business,” concluded Goedegebuure.
