The first outing of The Autism Show in Manchester saw visitors queuing outside the doors of the venue, mirroring the huge queues seen at the launch event in London 2 years ago.
Held at EventCity, Manchester (Friday 28th-Saturday 29th June) the event has been hailed a huge success by organisers Park View Events.
This was the first year an additional show has been held outside of London, and attracted almost 3000 attendees.
Geoff Soppet, MD, Park View Events said. “The success of The Autism Show in Manchester underlines our decision to choose EventCity as the best possible venue to attract visitors from across the North of England. We surpassed our own expectations by attracting just a handful short of 3,000 visitors for this first outing of the event beyond London. We wanted to take all the production values and character of our London show and transplant them into a Northern show rather than creating a poor cousin. The great result in EventCity shows what can be achieved in this part of the country if you know your visitor audience, have the trust of your supplier market and are totally committed to the subject matter.
“We will continue to run The Autism Show in both London and Manchester to attract a national audience and allow suppliers to geo-target their marketing. With a 50% onsite rebook in Manchester we are set to grow next year and continue the success of the developing Autism Show brand. Most importantly though, by running the event this year in Manchester, and growing our visitors at our London event by almost 20%, we have doubled the number of people who accessed the huge range of autism specific information, help and advice which the show has to offer”.
The Autism Show is the national event for autism, for parents, carers, professionals and individuals on the autism spectrum who seek the latest information, advice, products and services on the condition.
