The UK and Ireland Chapter of ICCA will discuss the potential to grow their events through internationalisation of UK national associations at a forthcoming breakfast briefing to be held at the inaugural UK Meetings Show on July 10th.
As UK associations increasingly seek to attract more delegates to attend their meetings and European associations look to host conferences in the UK and Ireland, this round table event aims to discuss the trend towards internationalisation and its impact on national associations.
Kerrin MacPhie, ICCA UK and Ireland Chapter Chair, said: “As a global membership organisation, ICCA is witnessing first-hand the growing tendency towards internationalisation of events for associations. There are some great benefits to national associations, including increased reach for membership, but also some grey areas to discuss where international associations are organising conferences in the UK and Ireland and the impact on domestic events. We are looking forward to some interesting insights and lively discussion.”
The ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter breakfast round table on internationalisation will take place at 8am on Wednesday July 10th at the UK Meetings Show, Room 304, Olympia. Places can be booked by emailing iccaukandireland@aecc.co.uk.
