Voting for the inaugural Event Technology Awards opened yesterday, Tuesday 23rd July. Over 100 entries have been posted and are live on the official website. Event industry professionals are now invited to view the entries and cast their votes.
The online voting represents the first stage of the judging process. The industry vote will count towards a percentage score and will be combined with the evidence submitted by the entrants in determining whether they are shortlisted in their category.
The website pages have been designed to provide a quick and easy way for people to cast their vote. However, people wishing to view more detailed information will also find links to each entrant’s full submissions. Voters also have the option to not cast a vote in categories that they feel aren’t relevant.
The online vote will close at 5pm on Thursday 8th August. The shortlist will be exclusively announced in the September edition of Access All Areas magazine, the official print media partner of the Event Technology Awards. Following its publication, the shortlist will also be available via the Event Industry News website. Commenting on the opening of the voting process, co-founder Adam Parry said:
“We are overwhelmed by the response. Given that this is the inaugural awards, entries have genuinely exceeded all of our expectations in both numbers and calibre. Having had the privilege of viewing the entries I don’t envy the task our judging panel will have when it comes to deciding the winners.”
The date and venue for the first ever Event Technology Awards ceremony has been confirmed and will be announced shortly.
