JNTO will establish an office in Jakarta


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia approved the establishment of the Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO) in Indonesia on July 23. From hereon, various legal formalities in the area will be done in the location, and at the earliest, the office will be opened in October. This office will be the 14th overseas base of JNTO.

The Indonesian market attracts attention because of its large population even for Southeast Asia. The number of visitors to Japan exceeded 10 million for the first time last year and it is regarded as a high growth market. Currently, the Indonesian office is handled by the Singapore office.
