Manchester Central is gearing up to host one of football’s premier VIP parties.
The North of England’s major events, exhibitions and conference venue, will welcome Manchester City Football Club’s “mother of all parties” this week.
The City Live event will be the club’s first ever pre-season launch party, featuring music and awards to kick off the 2013/14 season.
New club signings and new manager Manuel Pellegrini will welcome 2,000 fans, who will be entertained by Blues fan and funny man Jason Manford with music from Miles Kane.
Inspired by shows such as the MTV Music Awards, City Live will showcase what’s in store for the 2013/14 season, both on and off the pitch, whilst connecting local and global fans in a unique format.
The City Live event will be staged across various spaces in Manchester Central, including its iconic Central Hall, which is overlooked by its historic train station clock. Smaller rooms will be used as VIP spaces, whilst foyer areas will be utilised to create the perfect ambience.
Angie Robinson, Chief Executive of Manchester Central, said: “We are so privileged to be in the heart of the world’s greatest and most globally renowned football city.
“As a world-class venue we are well equipped to host high-profile, large-scale events and are adept at delivering a variety of event components as needed. City Live truly will be an incredible evening.”
Manchester Central is forging a reputation as one of the UK’s premier VIP show-stopping venues, capable of facilitating a range of formats and functions. The venue was also chosen by Manchester United to host VIPs before its crucial Champions League game against Real Madrid last season.
