Best Companies, the workplace engagement specialists that compile The Sunday Times’ ‘Best Companies to Work For’ lists, will be occupying its semi-permanent training venue provided by Neptunus for a further three years.
Best Companies was formed in 2000 with the purpose of making the world a better workplace and each year, together with The Sunday Times, it celebrates the best small, mid-size, big and public sector workplaces in the UK by publishing a series of prestigious top 100 lists based on a nationwide survey of employees.
In 2010 Best Companies launched its interactive Art of Engagement facility, which was designed to help leaders and managers to experience and understand what it takes to have a truly engaged workplace.
With no suitable permanent buildings available, Neptunus were selected to provide Best Companies with 3,600 sq m of space on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.
It took Neptunus technicians just 12 days to construct a semi-permanent Evolution structure complete with glazed front and internal partitioning. Part of Neptunus’ semi-permanent range, the Evolution was chosen for its high quality feel combined with long-term durability and excellent insulating properties.
Three years on and Art of Engagement continues to attract companies from across the country. Founder and CEO of Best Companies, Jonathan Austin, said: “Our initial intention was to lease the structure from Neptunus for a couple of years. However the building continues to impress our visitors and whilst it has the flexibility to evolve with our changing needs, it was logical to prolong its use.”
Prior to renewing the contract, Neptunus conducted a thorough inspection of the structure to confirm that it was still structurally sound. Neptunus UK managing director April Trasler said, “Despite its semi-permanent credentials, the Evolution looks as good today as when it was first handed over. I’m delighted that Best Companies have realised the benefits of a semi-permanent solution and I’m confident they will continue to do so over in the long-term.”
