UBM Live London, organisers of Internet World and The Big Data Show today announce that next year’s event will be held at ExCeL London in 2014 as part of London Technology Week, a new initiative hosted in East London that will unite the technology and digital community for a week of events and activity.
Taking place from 17-19 June 2014, Internet World and The Big Data Show serves product and service providers from across the spectrum of online business, covering a range of topics including, digital marketing, ecommerce, cloud, hosting, social media, mobile, content management and big data.
Internet World has been bringing the digital community together for more than twenty years while The Big Data Show was launched this year and is designed to help businesses understand and capitalise on the full potential of the data they hold.
Adrian Newton, Group Director, Transport & Technology at UBM Live London said: “We are really excited to be bringing these events to East London, into the heart of the technology community. With a huge focus on East London as the driving force for technology and digital brands in the UK it is important for us to align these shows closer to their core audience.”
In this new location, Internet World and The Big Data Show will benefit from the wider community that the series of events will attract, creating a unique business environment for a broad range of key stakeholders from the digital and technology community.
UBM Live is also due to announce an additional, content-driven event in the coming weeks which will also form part of London Technology Week. The inaugural Tech Transformation Summit will be a forum for high-level discussions of the strategic issues that really matter to today’s business and technology leaders. It will focus on real-world solutions around the opportunities, challenges and advances associated with information and technology infrastructure as it relates to business and wider economic growth.
These events will create a valuable platform to discuss, formulate and promote policy aimed at driving forward this critical sector, whilst also playing a key role in connecting commerce and government.
“Industry response to the move has already been hugely positive” continues Newton. “Our key exhibitors and partners have been fully supportive of the move and we are already looking at new ways to refresh, innovate and enhance our current offering.”
Companies already confirmed to participate at Internet World 2014 include Pure 360, Dotmailer, The Hideout, Kount, Oakley mobile, Emarsys and Sitecore.
