Global Experience Specialists (GES) has appointed Sean Rees to the post of operations director for its graphics business based in its ExCeL London offices. Rees joins after 30 years experience in leading event industry graphics companies.
Rees began his career in 1983 with what is now known as Service Graphics, reaching the position of managing director of the Salisbury branch. Since leaving Service Graphics in 2003, he has held positions in Enigma Signs & Graphics, created a graphics arm of Gardners in Portsmouth, and worked with Titan Outdoor that was acquired by JC Decaux. His last position was with Mckenzie Clark, where he was responsible for the “look” and wayfinding at ExCeL London, O2, Royal Artillery Barracks and Royal Greenwich Park for the London 2012 Olympic Games and subsequently transforming the graphics in the venues for the Paralympics and restoring them back to their original state.
Rees commented on his appointment, “Joining GES could not have come at a more exciting time; there is a great team at GES with a real ‘can-do’ attitude. It was the perfect opportunity to join a dynamic and growing part of the business.”
GES’ managing director UK, Andy Gibb said, “Sean has a great track record, in both managing businesses and delivering graphics for large events. He will be a key figure in expanding our graphics service provision from our London ExCeL base.”
