SECC Puts Great Design at the Heart of its New Hospitality Facilities

The Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC) has added to its delegate hospitality offering with the building of a new destination restaurant, Clyde Built Bar & Kitchen, launching later this month.

Developed and run by catering partners Levy Restaurants, the facility will offer guests an attractive selection of dishes, many of which with a Scottish provenance. Clyde Built was chosen as the icon for the restaurant because it is a phrase synonymous with one very important theme, quality. Glasgow was built on a foundation of quality engineering and architecture, and this new restaurant pays tribute to the city’s proud heritage whilst enhancing the visitor experience of an SECC campus which already boasts three hotels and 500 bedrooms.

Ben Goedegebuure, Sales Director, Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre said; “We’ve worked closely with the Levy restaurants team here at the SECC to produce a contemporary new outlet that is not only built to an incredibly high standard of design and finish, but that also delivers great food. We continue to develop the SECC site to ensure the best facilities for visiting delegates. The new restaurant will offer guests an even more memorable hospitality experience.”

As well as hosting world class events, the restaurant will also be a showcase for a number of innovative new retail food concepts.

John McNeil, Catering Experience Manager, for Levy Restaurants added; “We are proud to be opening the new Bar & Kitchen restaurant as it forms a crucial part of our strategy to enhance catering facilities through the campus. It will also become a pre event destination for the venues new 12,000 capacity concert venue, SSE Hydro.” Both of which are scheduled to open on the 30th September.
