Manchester Central hosts sporting heavy weights

Manchester Central is gearing up to host some of the world’s greatest athletes over the coming weeks.

On Friday, October 25 the North of England’s leading conference, exhibition and events venue played host to the pre-fight weigh-ins of UFC’s Manchester Fight Night.

And this weekend (November 3 and 4) Manchester Central will host the grand finale of the AJ Bell World Squash Championships, when the best 64 squash players in the world will battle it out for the sport’s greatest prize.

The sporting extravaganza at Manchester Central will then culminate on December (13-15) when it plays host to the world’s first ever Taekwondo Grand Prix, led by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF). 250 of the world’s top Taekwondo fighters across eight different weight categories will come together and battle it out during the WTF event.

Manchester Central is lending itself to an ever-increasingly diverse range of prestigious events and occasions. Earlier this year it staged a VIP evening for Manchester United before their Champions League match with Real Madrid.
