Opening the Nijo Castle of Kyoto as the MICE venue

The Kyoto City government launches the business for opening the Nijo Castle as the MICE venue.

The Nijo castle has become more than 400 years old since its construction and it has high historical and cultural values such as theater of Taisei Houkan (restoration of imperial rule) etc. It has been recognized as the world heritage in December 1994.

The Kyoto City government has positioned the MICE enticement as one of the most priority measures together with promoting the tourism and established the measure of “Kyoto City MICE Strategy”.

To promote further promotion of MICE strategy for utilizing the world heritage Nijo castle, they starts the business of “World Heritage Nijo Castle MICE Plan” which combines the promotion of tourism MICE and conservation of cultural properties and utilization in Nijo castle.
