Calling for double-digit growth of visitors to Hong Kong
Hong Kong Tourism Board hosted “Evening of Appreciation by Hong Kong Tourism Board” at Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo on March 31st, attended by about 180 guests from travel agencies and tourism media.
Kazunori Hori, who was appointed Chief of Japan Office of Hong Kong Tourism Board in October of last year after working for Tourism Australia, kicked off the event with an introduction.
Although the number of travelers to Hong Kong decreased last year to 1.06 million from the previous year, he emphasized that he expects a double-digit growth this year, and also with the 750,000 visitors to Japan, the well-balanced traffic enables stable airline seat supply and the stable relationship between the two countries allows the visitors to travel with confidence.
