On December 9, “2014 Prize for Attracting and Holding International Conferences from Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) award ceremony” was held at International Meeting Expo (IME2014).
The award is aimed to aware the significance of attracting international conference and further promote international conferences by honoring excellent achievements by organizers, cities and institutions to promote international conferences.
The eligible conferences are international conferences invited and held during 2013 and 35 conferences, which was a record figure, were recommended by each convention promotional institutions. After the examination of review committee, total 12 candidates – 4 candidates in International conference invitation category, 8 candidates in international conference host category – were elected.
