On August 28, HIKKY, a production company for XR-related events, began accepting applications from general exhibitors for the world’s largest VR event, Virtual Market (Vket) 2021 scheduled for December 4 to 18.
Virtual Market holds the Guinness World Record for “Most booths at a virtual reality market event” and is running 24 hours attracting more than 1 million visitors from all over the world, which makes it an unmissable event for anyone interested in VR.
Vket 2021 not just allows users to buy and sell both 3D – items such as avatars, and real products – clothes, computers, food & drink, etc.) at its virtual venue but also offers a number of other experiences such as riding the attractions, watching movies, and participating in live music performances, all within the venue.
Visitors can communicate with each other and enjoy a sense of reality as if they were enjoying the market together, in the real world.
Vket started as a way to buy and sell 3D data products between individuals, but in recent years, with the entry of major companies, the sale of real products has been enhanced, creating new possibilities for VR commerce.
Vket2021 will have a total of 534 booths in 15 different venues for the general exhibitors.
The application period ends at 23:59 on September 13, with the lottery results to be announced on September 20.
The exhibition fee is 3,300 JPY.
