Urban night market, “SHIBUYA YOICHI” took place at Miyashita Park in Shibuya Ward for two days from October 2 to 3.
Themed “PLAY for Tomorrow”, the event had brought together various businesses and artists who talked about fashion, music and environment alongside a number of current social issues.
The aim is to create fun and approachable opportunity for people to better understand the importance and day-to-day implementation of sustainability.
The main visuals were created by Margt, a creative unit under the PERIMETRON label, that moved from New York to Tokyo in 2020 and is active in various fields such as music and fashion, as well as video and graphics.
In the exhibition area, Eri, the representative of DEPT Company and active social and environmental speaker, had teamed up with the Ministry of the Environment to create an installation that displays the amount of discarded items in the fashion industry in just 1 minute.
The number of panel displays provides information on the topic which allows anyone interested to learn about the current state of fashion and its effect on the environment.
In addition, fashion brand AlexanderLeeChang had created a special program including skateboarding classes for beginners, and mini-games.
