Nick de Bois MP will launch details of the first ever All Party Parliamentary Group Inquiry into the events industry in a specialist session at International Confex next week.
The Chair of the APPG on Events will outline the details of the inquiry, which will focus on the international competitiveness of the UK events industry, in a specialist session with Black Tier members of the International Confex Loyalty Programme as well as international corporate buyers.
Within the session de Bois will call for industry engagement with the inquiry process and encourage organisations within the events industry to submit witness testimonies. Some written testimony submissions will also be asked into the House of Commons to give verbal testimony to a group of MPs providing support for the inquiry. These testimonies will form the basis of a report and a series of recommendations that will be passed onto Ministers throughout government.
The findings and contents of the report will be presented to the industry at a special event in the summer hosted by International Confex and the Britain for Events campaign who are providing secretarial support to assist the inquiry.
