JETRO began to solicit exhibitors for South American food market

Japan External Trade Organization(JETRO) announced that it will host the Japan Pavilion at the food exhibition “SIAL BRASIL2013” to be held at São Paulo from June 25 through 28, and started recruiting exhibitors.

Brazil is becoming an important market with a lot of potential for the Japanese food industry with the Japanese Brazilian population of over 1.5 million and the increasing popularity of Japanese food among the affluent and middle classes outside the Japanese Brazilian community.

The exhibition will be held at the same time as the largest food exhibition in South America, FISPAL FOOD SERVICE, and it is expected to provide opportunities to enter into or expand the food market in Brazil and South America.
