Nippon Interior Fabrics Association held a recruiting session for JAPANTEX 2013 on 21st of March.
Since last year, JAPANTEX has been opened simultaneously with Japan Home & Building Show featuring housing facilities and supplies in order for promotion.
As the result, 33,372 guests visited the fair last year; some of them including housing suppliers, facility / interior / Tatami makers and reform service providers had been constant visitors, while the others like building/general contractors and construction companies newly started to join the fair.
In the questionnaire, respondents mentioned that they thought highly of co-hosting in order to attract more visitors and provide better chance of business meetings; most of them (9 out of 10) also answered that they would participate in the event.
“This year, last minute demand is expected by the demand for restoration (from the earthquake) and the rise of consumption tax. However, the real competition will begin over the renovation and reform market.” mentioned Nishida Takeshi, the executive committee chairperson of JAPANTEX introducing the recent trends of the industry.
The due day of application is 15th of June. Until 20th of April, a discount of ¥15,000 is provided per booth.
